Groups and Activities St. Stephens has women's fellowship opportunities (Mission Guild), a dartball team, an ushers club, Bible studies, and adult fellowship opportunities on an "as announced" basis. For those who enjoy singing, the church choir meets for rehearsals on Wednesdays during the school year at 6:30 p.m. (Occasionally the praise team, ventures into the world of drama, as well. Amateur actors are encouraged to explore their talents via monologues, dialogues, skits, our puppet ministry and other dramatic activities.) A fellowship hour follows the 9:00 o'clock worship service each Sunday during the school year. This is a time to meet and greet fellow worshippers. In addition, refreshments are available for your enjoyment in the Kuck Lounge. Adult education programs are offered several times a year. Some are led by a pastor. Others by specially trained lay persons. Information about upcoming events is announced in Sunday Bulletins and in "The Interpreter" - the church newsletter. (If you are a visitor and would be interested in receiving the weekly Interpreter, please make your wishes known to a greeter/usher or make a notation on the visitor's card which is located in the pew racks or in the visitor's packet.) New members are received as potential new members are identified, usually twice a year: once just before or after Christmas; the second time near Easter. An orientation session for those considering membership is held prior to each new member reception. If you have an interest in being placed on the list of those to receive notice of the next orientation session and new member reception, please contact an usher or the church office (715-536-7322). |
